Claire Liu
Founder, President, Editor-in-Chief, head of interviews
Claire is a student at Harvard University pursuing a dual concentration in economics and film to start a career in the entertainment industry. She is very passionate about politics, activism, and the arts, and spends most of her time honing her skills as a storyteller and advocate. She is a huge proponent of diversity in the arts and is dedicated to increasing representation in the media. With her experience in writing, music, theatre, art, and activism, she created Project Said in the hopes of carrying that mission globally. Outside of school, she can always be found listening to music, reading, practicing archery, or working on her next play.
Hope Tan
co-Founder, Vice President
Hope is an incoming freshman at Georgetown University, hailing from California. She is an aspiring law student and her passions include humanities, politics, and design. She dedicates most of her time to competitive public speaking, writing, and Model United Nations. With a wide range of experience regarding current events, activism, and marketing, she hopes Project Said will become an international platform to give others a much-needed voice. In her spare time, she enjoys songwriting, photography, and fashion design.
Parker Garlough
Publicist
Parker Garlough is a student at Emerson College. At NNHS, they participate in marching band and JSA. Additionally, they volunteer with multiple activism organizations: the Grassroots Law Project, the Illinois Youth Climate Movement, and Diversify our Narrative. Parker is looking forward to working with Project Said to fight gender discrimination in the arts.
Brooklyn Ramey
Journalism Editor, Staff Writer
Brooklyn Ramey is a student from the suburbs outside of Detroit. She loves listening to music and baking. Brooklyn loves activism and her main goal in life is to help people and she says so far she’s achieved that.
Chiu-yi Rachel Ngai
Creative Writing Editor, Staff Writer
Chiu-yi Rachel Ngai is a high school student at Haas Hall Academy at the Jones Centre. Originally from Hong Kong, she and her mother moved to the U.S. when she was 14. In her free time, when she's not reading or writing, she can be found doing jigsaw puzzles, playing music, and translating television shows for her non-Chinese speaking friends. Rachel also serves as blog director for SeaGlass Literary and is a staff writer for Intersections Magazine.
Hiewon Ahn
Arts Editor, Staff Artist & Writer
Hiewon is a high school student originating from South Korea and currently based in South Africa. She's invested in matters of social justice, art and writing, often fusing all three to process what's going on in the world. In her free time, you'll find her drawing, reading or catching up on animation. She joined Project Said to help push for true diversity in a field that still leaves many voices woefully misrepresented.
Ahmad Hassan Nadeem
Lemon Meringue Editor, Staff Writer
Ahmad Hassan Nadeem is a high school student at Cadet College Hasanabdal, hailing from Pakistan. He is a published author with 20+ publications with his work being featured in DAWN, The News International, Paper Crane Journal, Remington Review, AE Magazine, Ink Pantry, Naya Daur, and Visual Verse, among other platforms. He is passionate about arts, literature, activism, and hopes he achieves his ambitions through Project Said.
